It’s official – Lebanon’s beloved Fattoush just ranked among the Top 5 Best Salads in the World on TasteAtlas!

This isn’t a first either. Fattoush has been holding down the #5 spot since 2022, and it’s no surprise why.

A staple on Lebanese tables, Fattoush is a fresh mix of crisp veggies like cucumbers, radishes, tomatoes, and leafy greens, all tossed with toasted Lebanese bread. But what really sets it apart? That tangy kick of sumac – a lemony spice that makes this dish pop.

Some families even add pomegranate seeds for a burst of sweetness, sticking to the old-school, traditional twist.

According to TasteAtlas – a global food guide that ranks the world’s best traditional dishes – Fattoush continues to earn global recognition alongside other iconic salads like:

As for our other national favorite, Tabbouleh came in at #36 this year – which is kind of blasphemous if you ask me.
