FIFA President Gianni Infantino confirmed that a new, modern stadium will be built in Lebanon, following his visit to Beirut and meeting with President Joseph Aoun.

Infantino, who recently obtained Lebanese citizenship, said he was proud to visit and emphasized his connection to the country, and notably his wife, who is Lebanese.

He stated that FIFA will move forward with constructing a stadium that meets international standards, to be offered, fully funded, to Lebanon and the Lebanese Football Association.

Lebanese Football Association President Hachem Haidar thanked President Aoun for supporting the project and noted that the stadium will be entirely financed by FIFA.

The plan marks a rare large-scale sports investment in Lebanon and could become a major boost for future matches, national teams, and international hosting opportunities.
